I have a bit of a clutter problem, ok I am the Clutter Queen, but I have been trying to de-clutter my surroundings to improve my feng shui, and find that CD I’ve been looking for, but that’s a topic for a future blog. Anyway, I was trying to reach a CD holder that was on the bottom of a precarious pile of books that predictably proceeded to topple over like a stack of dominos. One book that I almost forgot I had, and had previously merely skimmed through, literally fell on top of me. It was Creating Money: Attracting Abundance by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer. Hey, I can take a hint universe. So, I decided to read the entire book cover to cover.
As a full-time student I am always eager to find creative ways to generate income, and today we could all use a little reminder that the universe is an abundant place with more than enough resources to go around for everyone. The news, our friends, family and business associates continually inundate us with messages that we are in the worst economic times since the Great Depression, unemployment is skyrocketing, jobs are being outsourced or replaced by machines, yada yada yada. This book, which was channeled by the authors’ spirit guides Orin and Daben, is one of many divinely inspired bestsellers written by Roman and Packer. It was an easy, yet intense, read that I devoured intently. I highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with a scarcity mindset, feels they are not in their ideal career or is stuck in a perpetual state of financial survival mode.
Before I decided to read this book in its entirety, I opened to a random page and read an excerpt about envisioning money coming in an unexpected way, so I did, and the next day my generous father decided to put $100 into my bank account, just because. Coincidence, maybe, but I decided this book could contain some pretty powerful stuff.
One of the most important messages it imparts for this time is that you don’t need to be a slave to the whims of the mercurial economic climate. By following and putting into practice the principles detailed in this informative and interactive book you can create your own prosperous fiscal environment. Listening to your inner guidance will lead you to success no matter what the economy around you appears to be doing. Attracting Abundance states that all those who are called to read the book are on a path of “accelerated personal growth” with much to offer humanity.
Many people are currently feeling depressed about losing their jobs , well fear not, this book states that if you lose a job then it was not serving your higher good anyway. The first step toward creating prosperity is to stop worrying about money and start attracting abundance by holding the intention to become more magnetic to money. As you do this you put in motion a series of occurrences that will unfold and begin to bring you all the resources, opportunities, connections and divine inspiration you need to manifest your intentions.
The book contains several positive affirmations such as, “I am the source of my abundance” and “I focus on what I love and draw it to me.” Because your thoughts cause what is brought into your life it is critical to focus on what you want rather than worry about what you don’t. Dwelling on problems and negativity repels abundance. However, don’t punish yourself for negative thoughts, because fearing or hating them only gives them more power. If you recognize a negative thought the best way to handle it is to place a positive thought next to it. For instance, if you think, “I won’t have enough money to pay my mortgage” cancel that thought out by thinking, “All my needs are met.” The good news is that one positive thought can cancel out hundreds of fear-based thoughts. Your soul stops your negative thoughts from becoming your reality unless manifesting them will teach you something to help you grow.
The spirit guides Orin and Daben encourage unlimited thinking. In order to live up to your ultimate potential both monetarily as well as spiritually imagine having all your dreams come true, because your desires and fantasies are guiding you to your higher path. Dare to dream big! Emotions play an important role in manifesting the vision you have for your ideal life. If you have an intense desire for something it will cause it to come to you faster. Think of the object of your desire often and passionately, but then be willing to detach and let it come to you in whatever way is best. It is very simple to listen to your higher self, it speaks to you by making you feel light and joyful when you follow your higher path, and weighed down and burdened when you don’t. But, keep in mind that some resistance can be self-sabotage which stems from the belief that you are unworthy of having more than you currently possess.
If you have a job, or are following a course of study, where you must constantly force yourself to do many things you find tiresome and tedious, even if you once enjoyed these tasks, instead of telling yourself that you’re lucky to have a job — any job, or that your must have a degree to become successful, consider that you are not heeding your inner guidance, and that maybe it is time to find a more fulfilling line of work in keeping with your higher purpose. On the other hand, if the idea of going back to school seems joyful to you and would serve your life’s mission then there will always be a way to find the money to further your education. While you shouldn’t stay in an unsatisfying environment for longer than necessary, patience is the key when it comes to manifesting. If you feel you can’t live without something, or that your happiness depends on getting it you are actually repelling what you desire.
First and foremost, remember that there is a reason you are here on Earth at this time. You have a singular and essential mission that no one else can accomplish, and a sacred role that no one else can fill. This is your true life’s work. Many people think doing your life’s work sounds like, well, a lot of work, but this is unlike any job you have ever had before. The career or pursuits that comprise your life’s work involve doing that which you love and find most compelling and satisfying at a soul level. Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never work a day in your life.”
The crux of Creating Money is that wherever your true passion lies is where you will best serve others, and when you give completely of your talent, the work you do will be in great demand and then prosperity will naturally flow to you, as will true abundance in every sense of the word, in addition to the sense of accomplishment that can only come from fulfilling your unique and indispensible part in God’s plan for humanity’s ascension to the divine.
