How to Manifest the Destiny You Want

I really love it when my readers take the time to email me with the thoughts that are popping in their heads as they read my blog or my book.  It really is the confirmation I need that lets me know that I’m onto something here.

Once again, George C. Keefe emailed me this morning to tell me that he was glad to see that in my book I addressed some of the shortcomings in the philosophy espoused in the book and DVD, The Secret.  The whole “ask, believe, receive,” is too simple and misses a couple of important steps — mainly demanding of the universe that it brings me what I ask for is narcissistic and childish.  Yes, prayers are good, and most definitely get answered, but we have to acknowledge the fact that we might not actually know all the time what is best for us.  At these times, the gods punish us; they give us what we ask for.  At other times, what appears to be a thwarted wish, is God’s way of protecting us from ourselves and others as well.  Then again, we can’t discount the effect that the Principle of Uncertainty, which prevails throughout the universe, has upon our lives.  In humans this manifests as free will.  Never underestimate the power of that!  The universe is a big place and sometimes we inadvertently bump into someone or something else. These Random Acts of Karma are what we sometimes refer to as luck — good or bad.  And let’s face it — we can’t dodge every bullet, and once in a while, we or someone we know actually wins Lotto.

Therefore, if you wish for something to manifest in your life — love, abundance, health, whatever, know that your thoughts, prayers, and wishes most definitely help, but your words are infinitely more powerful than your thoughts to move the universe, and your actions speak louder than words.  So, don’t just sit there, do something to make those wishes and dreams come true.

The quote of the day once again goes to George C. Keefe (I think I have to put him on the payroll).  In response to my thoughts on the Law of Attraction in Grant Me a Higher Love, George quoted an old Irish proverb: “When praying for potatoes, bring a hoe.”

There you go!

  1. Cindi,

    A couple of things.
First of all, I am elated that I purchased several of your books to give to special people in my life. Before they even opened the cover I was blessed with the biggest smiles and hugs you could possible imagine. The dedication brought tears to my friend M’s eyes.
The first two went to 2 people you have read before. Both women I love dearly and both are in a transition state.
Even better than the hugs and thanks was the look on their faces when I showed them that you had signed the copies. They were clearly touched.
Secondly, I want to tell you that I so loved today’s message as I have for many months stopped asking the universe for what I think I need. This is because I could
not possibly know what greatness is in store for me. It is limiting myself to ask for what I think I need as my mind can not comprehend what the universe can. I now always ask God for the greatest good for all concerned.
I would rather leave it to the master of the universe to decide what is best for me and then have faith that it will be nothing less than PERFECTION.

Mr. Keefe is indeed a wise man. Being from the deep South, I have always been told “God can move mountains but you gotta bring the shovel!

    Love and peace to you.
You are one of the joys in my life.

    Cyn
