I had a fabulous weekend at Gurney’s in Montauk, going to dinner and the opening gala for the Hampton Film Festival. I also heard a great lecture by Isabella Rossellini about her life, famous parents, marriages, and her modeling and film career. I even got to talk to her about the film, Immortal Beloved. I had written a one man play based on Beethoven’s life, after seeing that film. I didn’t agree that Beethoven’s Immortal Beloved was his sister-in-law as the movie proposed, but rather that his true love was Josephine, and that was the character Isabella Rosselini portrayed in the film. What a wonderful weekend! What a wonderful world!
