Love Doesn't Have to Be This Way Afterall

I used to listen to this song on the radio when I was in college. It would cut me to the bone. I swore my life would never mirror this song, but there is something so hypnotic and deeply scary true about it, that even back then I realized somehow I would…

This song planted the seeds in me that later became the foundation of my belief that there has to be a better way and a higher love … I was all of nineteen or so, and I wondered, how can a person see a train wreck coming, and yet, not have the sense to get off the track?

This new millennium holds the promise of a new role model of love and marriage. This state of Holy Matrimony is so much more than traditional marriages, which when push came to shove proved to be little more that a business partnership. Bear in mind, that not all that long ago, arranged marriages were the norm.  Growing up, I was shocked to discover that my own grandparents had an arranged marriage.

The new state of Holy Matrimony implies a sacred state in which two people vow to love, honor, cherish, and commit to each other with their entire heart, soul, mind, and body.

I only pray, all my words, actions, and deeds help speed up this process. Too many lives have been shattered by marriages that fell far too short of the mark, and yet lasted, far too long.
